Jour 1

Arrival at Maun International Airport

Welcome to Botswana. Upon arrival at Maun International Airport, in the north-west of the country, you step into one of southern Africa’s busiest aviation hubs and the undisputed gateway to the legendary Okavango Delta. Even before landing, you are treated to a spectacular preview, with low-altitude vistas over a vast, shimmering mosaic of waterways and islands. Your private driver for the whole trip will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall. Jour 2

Réserve de chasse de Moremi

In the heart of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve offers one of Africa’s richest and most varied safari landscapes. Covering 40% of this UNESCO-listed wilderness, this is where floodplains, lagoons and savannah meet in ever-changing harmony, shaped by the delta’s annual flood, which brings life to every corner. Expect safaris full of contrasts, in a 4x4 safari jeep or a motorboat: elephants wading through channels, hippos wallowing in lagoons, and big cats moving quietly through forested islands. With exceptional year-round game viewing, Moremi is home to the Big Five - including the reintroduced rhino - as well as thriving populations of the rare African wild dog and over 500 bird species.

Jour 3

Vol de la réserve de chasse de Moremi vers la concession communautaire de Khwai.

A charter flight from Moremi's Xakanaxa Airstrip to Khwai River Airport takes 20 to 30 minutes and links the Xakanaxa Lagoon area with the Khwai Community Concession. The light aircraft flights (operated by Safari Air or Mack Air) skim low over the shimmering waterways of the Okavango Delta, turning the landscape into a living map with winding channels, palm-dotted islands and floodplains teeming with wildlife. Keep an eye out for elephants crossing narrow streams, hippos lazying in the lagoons, and herds of antelope moving like brushstrokes across the grasslands. It’s like a game drive… just with a bird's eye-view.

Jour 4

The flight from the Khwai Community Concession to Savuti Marsh connects Botswana's most popular safari hubs in 15 to 30 minutes. The airstrip is located directly within the Savuti area of Chobe National Park, making it an immediate gateway to the park's wildlife wonders. Hop in the jeep, stop by your lodge, and continue to enjoy your very first Savuti game drive.

Jour 6

Savuti Marsh (Parc national de Chobe)

Savuti is one of Africa's most extraordinary and ever-changing wilderness areas, a vast, ancient landscape in the remote western reaches of Chobe National Park that has captivated explorers and wildlife enthusiasts for generations. Fed by the legendary Savuti Channel, its waters have come and gone over centuries, shaping a dramatic mosaic of dry riverbeds, open grasslands, and seasonal wetlands that draw some of the continent's most spectacular concentrations of wildlife on any game drive. A Savuti Marsh Excursion offers a rare and privileged window into this untamed world!

Jour 7

Vol de Savuti Marsh à Kasane

The flight from Savuti to Kasane takes 1 hour, connecting two of Botswana's most wildlife-rich areas. You fly over the Chobe National Park, getting a bird's-eye view of the landscape before landing at Kasane International Airport, with time for activities on arrival.

Jour 8

Rivière Chobe (Parc National de Chobe)

The Chobe Riverfront stretches along the northern boundary of Chobe National Park, where the Chobe River separates Botswana from Namibia. The whole park is home to over 120,000 elephants - the largest remaining population in the world. Still, during the dry season, the herds gather along the riverfront in extraordinary numbers, alongside buffalo and plains game. Game drives along the riverfront put you in the middle of this, while a boat cruise on the Chobe River brings you eye to eye with hippos, crocodiles and elephants swimming, drinking or just bathing in the sun at the water's edge.

Jour 9

Drive from Chobe Riverfront to Kasane

The drive from Chobe Riverfront to Kasane is a short and scenic one, taking 30 minutes. The route is well-traveled by safari vehicles, making it easy to navigate from the wilderness back to town. You might still spot some wildlife along the way, particularly elephants along the riverbank, before exiting the park via Sedudu Gate and driving straight into Kasane. The airport lies just 4 kilometres south of the town cente.
